Card Types & Deck Composition (Per Location)

Each location deck contains a mix of cards drawn from four core categories:

• Fish Cards (33 Cards Per Deck)
  Represent 11 unique fish species, each available in small, medium, and large weight classes.
• Weights range from 1 to 200 pounds, determining the card’s point value.
• Rarer, heavier fish are harder to catch but yield the most points.
• Movement Cards (4 Cards Per Deck)
• 2 cards: Move ±3 Spaces
• 2 cards: Move ±6 Spaces
• These cards either help reposition for better catches or move you unexpectedly.
• Each card will add or subtract 5–10 points depending on movement results.

• Setback Cards (4 Cards Per Deck)
• Hooked Some Trash
• Snap Your Fishing Line
• Lost Your Fish
• Lose Your Next Turn
• These setbacks reflect common fishing mishaps and will subtract 5–10 points from your total score.

• Bonus Cards (2 Cards Per Deck)
• Take An Extra Turn, grants an immediate additional turn and +10 points.
• Caught A Lost Fishing Rod & Reel, awards a special find worth +50 points.

• Game play:
• Players roll one die to determine movement around the board.
• After landing on a location, the player draws one card from that location’s deck.
• Cards may award fish (points), bonuses, movement, or setbacks.
• After two complete laps, players total their points.

• The player with the highest score wins!

However, the true objective goes beyond merely completing the two full rounds (laps). Each player’s success hinges, on the player accumulating the highest point total from their fishing efforts. In essence, if a player who completes two full rounds (laps), also manages to score more points than other players. By catching bigger fish or scoring that bonus 50-point catch they can emerge as the overall winner.
